Utility 57
2009 Ford F250 4WD
Utility 57 is a 2009 Ford F250 4WD 4 door cab pickup.
In the summer months it carries a 150 gal skid mount unit for responding to small fires, lighting strikes and illegal fires in remote areas of the district.
The skid mount unit was funded by a Federal Rural Fire Assistance grant.
It is also utilized as the duty officer vehicle.
Utility 57 is housed at Station 57.

2006 GMC 1/2 ton
Utility 5700 is a 2006 GMC ? ton four wheel drive pickup.
This vehicle is assigned to the Fire Chief.
Brush 57
2004 International 4WD
Brush 57 is a 2004 International 4WD manufactured by Pierce Manufacturing, Appleton, WI.
This engine is primarily designed to fight wildland fires with high ground clearance and a short wheel base. It features a 500 gpm pump, a 500 gal water tank and a 20 gal foam tank. The engine also has a 200 gpm auxiliary pump for mobile attack on fast moving wildland fires.
It carries a full complement of EMS equipment.
This engine was funded by a grant from The Federal Emergency Management Agency Fire Act Grant program.
It is housed at Station 57 in the summer and Station 257 in the winter.
Engine 57
1997 HME
Engine 57 is a 1997 HME/Central States Type I engine. This engine features a cab that can seat up to six firefighters, with a 350 horsepower engine. It is also four wheel drive for driving in the snow that seems to frequent the foothills in the winter.
The fire pump is rated at 1250 gallon per minute and the water tank holds 750 gallons. The engine has a class A foam system, 1000 gpm monitor and a full complement of structural and wild land firefighting hose and tools.
The engine will soon be equipped with ropes and appliances for low angle rescue as well as equipment to assist with swift water rescues.
This engine was purchased used from the Southborough Mass. FD. The total cost for this engine after completing substantial improvements was $140,000.00. This price represents a cost savings of $250,000.00 if we were to have purchased a new engine.
The engine is housed at Station 57 in Chicago Park and will be used to respond to all types of emergency incidents in the Fire district.
Engine 257
1995 International 4WD
Engine 57 is a 1995 International 4WD manufactured by 3D Manufacturing of Shawano, WI.
This engine features a 1000 gpm pump, 750 gal water tank and a 20 gal foam tank. It has a 150 gpm auxiliary pump for mobile attack on wildland fires.
The engine carries a full complement of structure and wildland fire hose and hand tools as well as medical equipment for EMS calls. The engine also carries a thermal imaging camera. This engine is housed at Station 57 at 18934 Colfax Hwy.
Water Tender 57
1992 Ford L9000
Water Tender 57 is a 1992 Ford L9000 that features a 2000 gallon water tank and a 500 gallon per minute pump.
Its primary role is to deliver water to fires in areas of the district that do not have fire hydrants.
It is housed at Station 57.

Rescue and Fire

Peardale Chicago Park personnel responded to a medical incident in a remote area near Chalk Bluff. The injured victim was stabilized and then lifted to a waiting rescue helicopter and flown to Sierra Nevada Hospital. Responders; Capt. Schreiber, Capt. Ramey and FF Marc Hagerman.
